A welcome from the Associate Dean of Students

As the Dean of Students, am extremely proud to welcome you to Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology, the only female university in East and Central Africa. The institution is focused on empowering the girl child to manifest their full potential.

The Dean of Students office is tasked with the duty of ensuring that our students’ affairs are well catered for while they are within our institution. Our goals are to ensure that we offer the students opportunities for learning, leadership and potential growth, in essence, the holistic growth of the students. Remember that this is an institution of higher learning, no more teachers chasing after you, no more parents day meetings, no more bells. Here is where you sharpen your leadership skills, where you become the captain of your own ship.

Our strong alumni program offers our students with growth opportunities and links our students to those who are in the field. The alumni are not only offered a variety of jobs within the institution, but our esteemed team of lecturers links them to industry professionals who guide them in the field.

Feel free to visit our institution for a tour, or our website for a virtual tour to familiarize yourself with our esteemed institution. Whenever you are within the institution, feel free to visit our offices for a consultation or a chat. Departments that work hand in hand with the Dean of Students office

Chaplaincy

The chaplaincy is tasked with offering spiritual growth of all our students. We have unions which support different religions within the institution which fosters the growth of our students.

Counselling

The counseling department, where our students get to meet with the institution’s counselor who guides them on different aspects on their lives.

Dispensary

Health department where our esteemed health unit team meets with our students to provide solutions to any illnesses and advice to our students to avoid any preventable health problems

Security

The dean of students office works closely with the security team to ensure the safety of all students, including students who reside outside the institution

Accomodation

This office is tasked with the provision of hostels for all our students. The institution provides state of the art accommodation for all students who chose to reside within the institution

Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology has given me the best university life that I would ever had.  As the treasurer of the university students’ council, I have learnt to cultivate on improving my personal life as well as take a 100% responsibility for what’s happening around me and the university as a whole. Integrity has not been an option but a value that has become paramount in my life.

It is through KWUST that I have learnt to make a place for myself, no matter how many difficulties I have to surmount. Through the KWUST scholarship opportunity, I have had the most exemplary university academic and social life to boast of.

Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology has been a great and unique university enabling women to be empowered in the society. I personally have had a great experience because there are awesome facilities and committed lecturers who are free with the students. I’ve also learnt the skills to interact with the students and the fact that the students themselves voted for me to be their hostels, health and accommodation leader has enabled me to have leadership skills. The motivation from the older students has kept me going. I’m glad and I feel energised to study to the end.

The day we had long awaited had finally come; the day when we had to share different cultures, beliefs and values in our school. This was a wonderful and exciting experience. We interacted a lot with fellow students and felt proud about our cultures. The most exciting part is when we all had to showcase our traditional outfits, dances, poems and narratives. We all did this in one spirit; promoting peace, love and unity as a country and Africa at large. If you are not here, you should definitely yearn to. Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology is a place for every woman where we feel empowered through every aspect and letting God lead us.
