KCCWG Strategy 2014-2018

Select pages from this publication

Summary

Kenya Climate Change Working Group’s (KCCWG) 2014-2018 Strategy Plan looks beyond influencing policies at the national level but also pursues development planning and policy context that integrates Climate Change adaptation and mitigation efforts at the county and national government levels.

In working with the spirit of devolution arising from the Kenyan Constitution 2010, KCCWG advocates for substantial resources to unify and strengthen county-based civil society voices and build their capacity to engage on local Climate Change issues with their county governments.

This multi-annual strategic plan proposes to ensure KCCWG’s direction is responsive to the needs and expectations of Climate Change stakeholders (from the bottom up) in Kenya and embraces the context of devolution and how it translates to grass root development.
